Abbey Saint-Hilaire
This fortified Benedictine's abbey was found at the beginning of the 8th century. Very worth seeing is the Roman church (12th century), the 14th century cloister and the tomb in the gothic long house (13th century).

Abbey Saint-Papoul
This abbey of the order of the Benedictins was found in the 8th century; the 12th century church and the vault, which dates of the 14th century have been reconstructed. This abbey has once been a bishop's palace.
Abbey Caunes-Minerves
dating from the 8th century, with its really beautiful church Holy Peter and Paul. The cloister and the monastry have been well preserved. Caunes-Minerves is proud of its arts of mabre.
Abbey de Fontfroide
This abbey of the order of the Benedictines is located in the Corbières near Narbonne, saw its golden age shortly after its construction in the 11th century.In 1145 the order changed and Fontfroide started to be a stronghold against the sect of the
Cathars. The abbey's rose garden is world-famous.
Abbey St. Polycarpe
This abbey located in the Roussillon was also found during the 8th century. The church of the abbey, dedicated to the Holy Virgin, is worth seeing.

Abbey Alet-les-Bains
The former cathedral Nôtre Dame - approx. 12 km distance to the self-catering gite Le Coustal - dates of the 12th century, with impressive reliefs and unique stone-mason artwork. The cloister (12th to 14th century) is a ruin nowadays, but even the remains are impressive.
