Abbey Saint-Hilaire
This fortified Benedictine's abbey was found at the beginning of the 8th century. Very worth seeing is the Roman church (12th century), the 14th century cloister and the tomb in the gothic long house (13th century).Distance from our holiday home in France: approx: 15 km.
Abbey Saint-Papoul
This abbey of the order of the Benedictins was found in the 8th century; the 12th century church and the vault, which dates of the 14th century have been reconstructed. This abbey has once been a bishop's palace.
Abbey Caunes-Minerves

Abbey Alet-les-Bains
The former cathedral Nôtre Dame - approx. 12 km distance to the self-catering gite Le Coustal - dates of the 12th century, with impressive reliefs and unique stone-mason artwork.
